Good afternoon and welcome to our live coverage of Nottingham Forest versus Manchester City the final instalment of a gripping weekend of Premier League action which kicks off

Manchester City continued their Premier League title bid with a hard-fought win against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground today.

After a comprehensive win at Brighton on Saturday, City were looking to maintain their momentum and close the gap on leaders Arsenal who have a game in hand.

Forest, meanwhile, were looking to build on their impressive win over Leeds last weekend and move further away from the relegation zone.

The game started brightly with both teams looking to attack but it was City who took the lead after just 12 minutes.

Kevin De Bruyne played a wonderful pass into the path of Erling Haaland who finished coolly past Wayne Hennessey.

City continued to dominate possession and Forest struggled to create any clear-cut chances.

The second half was a similar story with City controlling the game and Forest defending deep.

City eventually doubled their lead in the 84th minute when Jack Grealish headed home from a De Bruyne cross.

The win sees City move to within one point of Arsenal at the top of the table while Forest remain fourth-bottom, a point above Luton.
