Cowboys To Open 2023 Season In The Afternoon

Cowboys to open 2023 season in the afternoon

Cowboys to face Browns in Week 1 at 1:15 PM on Oct. 16, 2023

The long wait is finally over, as the Dallas Cowboys kick off their 2023 season at 1:15 PM on Oct. 16 against the Cleveland Browns.

The Cowboys were originally scheduled to open the season at night, but the game was moved to the afternoon to accommodate the NFL's new 17-game schedule. This will be the first time the Cowboys have opened the season in the afternoon since 2017.

The Cowboys are coming off a disappointing 6-10 season, but they are hoping to make a run at the playoffs in 2023. They have a talented roster led by quarterback Dak Prescott, running back Ezekiel Elliott, and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.

The Browns are also coming off a disappointing season, going 7-9 in 2022. However, they have made some significant additions to their roster this offseason, including quarterback Deshaun Watson and wide receiver Amari Cooper.

The Cowboys and Browns have not played each other since 2019, when the Cowboys won 35-10. The Cowboys have won the last three meetings between the two teams.

The Cowboys will be looking to start the season off on the right foot with a win against the Browns. A win would give them a 1-0 record and a boost of confidence heading into the rest of the season.
